Wedding Photography

I remember what it was like trying to find a photographer for my own wedding, hoping we wouldn’t be marched around for hours leaving our guests to fend for themselves. I’d like to reassure you that I won’t bark orders at you and your guests – just let them know that I’ll be there in the background and you can leave the rest to me.

I’ll plan your wedding or shots with you in advance, making sure that you and your guests know what to expect and how long the shoot will take. I have an informal style and prefer ‘reportage’ shots to posed images – this means that I can capture the moments that happen naturally along with special details that are so often missed. My main focus will be on you and your partner, with images taken apart from your guests, allowing them to relax and you to wow friends and family after the event.

I’ll take a limited number of group shots so you may wish to ask someone you know to help with additional group photographs on the day.

I cover the Midlands, South and South West regions with prices starting at £1,000 for a full day shoot. You’ll receive a ‘no hidden costs’ fixed rate which includes:

A pre-wedding consultation and image planning
An advance visit to the ceremony and/or reception venues
Coverage of your day from bridal preparations to the first dance
Editing and retouching to make the very best of your images
License free use of all supplied digital images provided to you on a DVD (with advance viewing online)
A complimentary print with a special image from the day

If you require printing services such as albums or coffee table books, these can be quoted for also.

Event Photography

Half or full day shoots (daytime or evening) are available for private events and family celebrations. Prices are £200 for a day.

As with my wedding photography service, I’ll plan your image requirements with you in advance and ensure that you get the shots you need on the day. Your fixed price shoot will include:

Event consultation and image planning
An advance visit to the event venue (or early arrival on the day)
Editing and retouching to make the very best of your images
License free use of all supplied digital images provided to you on a DVD (with advance viewing online)
A complimentary print with a special image from the event

Your Very Own Photo Shoot

If your children are growing up fast or you’d like to capture a moment in time for your loved ones, I can accompany you to a special location or event, focusing solely on a single person or a small group – just like having your own paparazzo but at your own request! This works especially well for ‘red letter’ days such as track events, ballooning and mountain climbing, or simply spending time in a place that means so much to you.

If you would like to have your experience day shot in hi-definition view from either your viewpoint or from a fixed location within a vehicle, balloon or someone else, I have a GoPro Hero 2 Action Camera, which has been used by motorsport and extreme videographers for some years. Please enquire about using this neat piece of kit on your next track or experience day.

Taking Care of Your Images

Whether your event is large or small, I’ll always take the time to understand who you are and what you want to achieve, with the same high standards of care given to all my photographic services. I use state-of-the-art digital cameras and editing suites, and carry back-up equipment in case of a technical hitch (this has not happened yet but I won’t take any risks with your wedding or event!).

Once you’ve chosen your favourite shots, I’ll discuss options for printed images with you from a range of formats, from traditional photo albums to specialist ‘coffee books’ offering a truly professional finish. Alternatively, you can work with your own printing supplier to get the results you desire (printed images are not included in your fixed price).
